Our tracking uses official Pakistan Railways GPS data refreshed every 30 seconds to 1 minute. Position accuracy is typically within 100–500 metres depending on the train's GPS equipment and cellular signal along the route. ETAs are recalculated every update cycle using the train's current speed and accumulated delay, and are typically accurate to within ±5 minutes.

A train may not appear in the live list if: (1) It has not yet departed its origin station, (2) The GPS transmitter on that locomotive is temporarily offline, (3) The train is not scheduled to run on today's date, or (4) There is a temporary data gap on that section of track. Check the Schedule page to confirm the train runs today, then try refreshing after a few minutes.

Yes — live tracking is active 24/7. Overnight trains such as the Tezgam Express, Khyber Mail, and Green Line Express are commonly tracked during late-night and early-morning hours. The GPS system does not stop at night, so you can monitor your train's progress at any hour.

Click on your train in the list above and check the Delay Status field. It shows the current delay in minutes (e.g., '45 min late') or confirms 'On Time'. The delay is live — if the train catches up or falls further behind, this number updates automatically. You can also check from the homepage: the Live Trains Dashboard widget shows delay status for all trains currently running.

The speed shown (km/h) is the train's actual GPS-measured ground speed at the moment the data was last refreshed. When a train is stopped at a station, the speed shows 0. Express trains on the main Karachi–Lahore corridor typically cruise at 100–130 km/h on open track. This can happen when the GPS unit on the locomotive loses signal in a tunnel or in areas with poor cellular coverage — the last known position is held until a new fix arrives. It can also occur if the train has changed locomotives mid-journey. Positions typically correct themselves within 1–2 minutes once signal is restored. The timestamp on each update shows how recent the data is.

This is especially useful for sharing with family waiting at the destination station so they know exactly when to leave home for pickup.

'Find My Train' uses your own phone's GPS to detect which train you are currently on board — it matches your location against all live trains and identifies the closest one automatically. Regular live tracking shows you a specific train's location on a map. Use Find My Train if you are already on board and want to share your journey's live position with someone else.

Yes — Eid Special trains are tracked as soon as they begin service. They appear in the live list alongside regular trains. However, because Eid Specials are temporary, they may not have pre-loaded route data in the schedule viewer. Their live GPS position and speed will still be visible once they depart. Always check the live dashboard on the day of travel rather than relying solely on advance schedule information during Eid periods.
